Hainsworth has led the way on textile manufacturing processes over the last 2 centuries, introducing pioneering weaves and finishes to customer markets. Today Hainsworth continue to innovate, always exploring the capabilities of the fabrics they produce and developing new textile qualities, enabled by their skilled team of fabric technicians and our UKAS-accredited in-house laboratory.
Hainsworth believe in a holistic approach to sustainable manufacturing, to ensure the future of the UK textile industry. They were one of the first British mills to be awarded the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS). As a fully vertical mill, Hainsworth manufacture products from raw fibre to finished cloth entirely onsite, meaning their carbon footprint is largely within their control, allowing them to improve and perfect it.
For more than 240 years, AW Hainsworth has been the name associated with woollen fabrics of exceptional quality. Production continues today at their West Yorkshire Mill as it has since 1783.
